Belmar block 5 includes a retail shopping center, office building, and parking garage at the Belmar development in Lakewood, CO. The anchor of the shopping center is Whole Foods Market which occupies approximately 60,000 square feet of the second floor in the center of the building. Adjoining Whole Foods Market to the north and east are two stories of office and retail space. Tenants of these spaces include Metropath, Lasik, and Mile High Family Medicine. Two levels of parking are provided to the south of Whole Foods Market. The area below the grocery store is also ground level parking. In addition, there is 2300 square feet of studio space in the southeast corner of the building. The core and shell construction consisted of caissons, large concrete foundation walls, masonry, structural steel, structural steel studs, metal panels, stucco, storefront, and roofing. Waner Construction Company, Inc. performed the tenant finish construction for Whole Foods Market and Metropath in addition to the core and shell construction. The core and shell of the building was designed and constructed as a "green building" and was certified as LEED Silver upon the completion of the building. The project cost exceeded $23 million.
